Friday, I did nothin'. Oh wait, I made plans with Hubby to go to lunch. Then after that, my friend who'd I'd been trying to reach called to say she was free after all, and did I want to get together? *small fume* Called her and said that since I hadn't heard from her, I'd made plans with Hubby. She understood. (Plus it was frickin' cold and I wasn't much in the mood for wandering around Manhattan, and the train ticket costs too much and the ride is too long to just get there, go to lunch, turn around and come home! I kept that nugget to myself, but you understand, right?)
So Hubby and I had a nice lunch, which we never get to do normally. So that was fun. After that I drove to two different grocery stores looking for Stephen Colbert's ice cream! It was a fruitless search. Well, actually an ice-cream-less search. I went to Ben & Jerry's website and found that the closest store that had it was in Trenton. Stephen, I love ya, sweetie, but I'm not taking my life in my hands just for a pint of your ice cream.
Saturday, saw Grindhouse as I mentioned the other day. Whoa! Wild stuff. If you're a fan, you'll love it. Can't wait to listen to the soundtracks again.
Yesterday, a very lowkey Easter. Hubby and I went down to my parents, and it was just us two, parents and Younga Brudda. Dinner was pretty good. Afterwards we went for a walk around their neighborhood. A house in their development is going to be featured on the May 6 episode of Extreme Home Makeover, or whatever it's called. You can only see the outside, but it looks very nice for a McMansion. The only thing is it's twice as big as all the other houses on the street, and in a totally different style! It sticks out like a sore thumb.
Our biggest concern at the moment is that we haz barfing kittehs. ( I put behind cut if you haz sensitive tummy ) So keep your paws crossed for our little guys, if you would. Hubby is sufficiently concerned to e-mail the vet. I'm hoping this is just a kitty bug, but I told Hubby if we can get an appointment for tomorrow, I'll totally take the day off and take them in. It's hard to know what to do for them. I can't exactly give them flat ginger ale.

Just made plans with Younga Brudda to go see Grindhouse on Saturday afternoon in Princeton. Hubby wasn't sure if that was his cup of tea, but I can always count on Brudda as a movie-going companion for my more... outré tastes. (We saw House of 1000 Corpses together. 'Nuff said.)
On Easter Sunday, Hubby and I are going down to my folks for dinner. I don't know who else -- if anyone else -- is coming. But my aunt C called last night, and we're also invited to their house on the Sunday after Easter. I guess her sons are spending Easter with their respective inlaws, so C. wanted us all to get together. Which I'm all for! That side of the family is a little more lively than my parents and Brudda. Maybe I can shoot a new group family photo. The last one was taken in January 2004, when my cousin's little daughter was 6 months old. She's going to be 4 this summer, and she has a little brother and a little cousin not seen in my picture!

You don't "have to" buy any Easter candy for any little darlings, which then lays around your house, tempting you with its fructose siren call.
You also can go to the 8:00 a.m. spin class (425 calories burned, baby!) you wanted, because you don't have to worry if the little darlings' eggs are all hidden.
Oh, and here's another reason, courtesy of my mother-in-law's call last night: You don't have to worry about your 7-month-old getting a horrendous virus and puking every hour on the hour. You don't have to worry that if he doesn't stop, you'll have to have him admitted to the hospital. You get to sleep more than 45 minutes in a night. And you don't have to worry about calling out to take care of your sick baby because you already used up your leave for the school year with, y'know, maternity leave. (Poor nephew. Poor sis- and bro-in-law! Here's hoping he's soon on the mend!)
